I recently did a batch of art pieces with a theme.  I depicted animals in silhouette fire breathing in old frames. I've seen those old cardboard frames, now weathered, with a silhouette of a person, oft a lady, on a textured, now yellowed, white paper. The cardboard frame would have a gold leaf detail around the oval. I wanted to do something unexpected in a silhouette form. I thought about how I love fire breathing and animals that are recognizable by shape doing the fire breathing, I thought, would lead to an awesome piece of art. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3hb9LVyMOc So my family and I made a video for Voltaire's song "When You're Evil" and we made our dog Roscoe into Volterrier. Smore to come

I've been working a lot on art lately. I have so many pieces that it's gonna take a while to get them up. While here on DA I see some amazing work that's achieved by using some fantastic and expensive art program. I sometimes feel stifled by the constraints of my low quality programs. Yes, I like to do work by hand. Yes I like to use the computer to do some of my work. But there are things I want to do that I can't and it makes me sad. People tell me I shouldn't pine for expensive programs and be happy with what I have and that I'm only limited by my imagination. Snot true. True to a degree, but not completely.
